Terms & Conditions
Updated: 14th July 2025
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of this website and the tutoring services provided by Ben Tinsley. By using this site or booking a session, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Services Offered
I offer online tutoring via video call (e.g. Google Meet or Zoom) with lessons tailored to each student's needs.
2. Booking & Cancellations
Sessions are booked in advance via message or email.
Cancellations must be made at least 12 hours in advance. Late cancellations or no-shows may still be charged.
In the event that I need to cancel a session, I will notify you as soon as possible and offer to reschedule or refund.
3. Payments
The standard rate is £25 per hour.
Payments should be made via bank transfer or other agreed-upon method.
Payment is due either in advance or promptly after each session unless otherwise agreed.
4. Responsibilities
I will prepare and deliver tutoring sessions to the best of my ability.
Students (or their guardians) are responsible for attending sessions on time and completing any agreed-upon homework.
Results are influenced by many factors - while I aim to support academic progress, specific grade outcomes are not guaranteed.
5. Data & Privacy
I collect and process minimal personal data as described in my Privacy policy.
Your contact and academic information will only be used for the purposes of tutoring and communication.
I will never share your data with third parties unless legally required.
6. Intellectual Property
Any worksheets or resources I provide are for your personal use only.
They must not be shared, reproduced, or sold without permission.
7. Limitation of Liability
I am not liable for any direct or indirect losses resulting from the use of this website or tutoring services, except as required by law.
All services are provided in good faith and tailored to individual needs, but I cannot be held responsible for exam outcomes or school admissions decisions.
8. Changes to These Terms
I reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions. I will make a reasonable effort to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to changes to these terms. The most recent version will always be available on this website. By continuing to use the site or services, you agree to the latest version.
8. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
